Both join
well without pulling or stretching of the fabrics. Overlocker doesn’t unstitch
or pull, no need for fusing seams or changing machines.
Testing heming with the 5 stitch overlocker
and coverstitch machine:
Overlocker works
perfectly without faults with the fabric as seen previously, coverstitch
machine has no problem with fabric either other than the occasional dropped
stitch but is shortly picked back up – maybe stitch slower to reduce this? The
double stitching gives the best hem finish but is obvious in the red thread
when the stitch goes wonky, in the gold thread this will not be as obvious but
to reduce this I can stitch slower for more precise lines.
